Red door, Chinese architecture necklace in silver and carnelian

Red Door is a necklace inspired by Asian architecture, particularly the moon gates (月亮门, yuèliàngmén). These circular arches, often integrated into the walls of traditional Chinese gardens, provide poetic perspectives and harmonious transitions between different spaces. True invitations to inner journeys, they symbolize passage, harmony, and humanity’s integration with nature. Their round shape evokes the moon, a sacred celestial body that marks time and embodies the eternal cycle of transformation.

The disc of the "Red Door" pendant is adorned with geometric motifs inspired by Asian lattice doors, the delicate openwork structures found in the architecture of temples and gardens. At its center, a red carnelian cabochon catches the light and becomes the vibrant heart of this jewel. In China, red symbolizes happiness, luck, and prosperity. Passageways such as doors and arches were often painted red to attract protection and fortune.

Above the pendant, a curved silver wire supports the piece, recalling the elegantly arched roofs of ancient buildings, which seemed to reach the sky while protecting those living in their shadow.
