The tree of Jesse, family keepsake bracelet in silver, amethyst, opal, and peridot

This bracelet is a personalized creation, designed to celebrate the story of a family and the union of its members. It was conceived as a jewel of memory and transmission, meant to become a true heirloom.

The bracelet is composed of thirteen small silver medals, each representing a family member. Nine of them bear the initials of the grandchildren, engraved like precious imprints that testify to their unique place within the lineage. The other four are adorned with birthstones symbolizing the parents and grandparents: two amethysts for February, one Ethiopian opal for October, and one peridot for August. These gems add a spiritual dimension to the jewel: amethyst evokes wisdom and serenity, opal embodies the ever-changing light of life, and peridot symbolizes joy and vitality.

All these medals, attached to a silver chain, compose an intimate fresco where each detail tells a fragment of the family’s story. Like the branches of a tree linking its roots to its fruits, they form an inseparable whole.

We chose to name this bracelet the Tree of Jesse, in reference to this motif from medieval Christian art that depicts the genealogy of Jesus from Jesse, father of King David. Between the 12th and 15th centuries, this theme adorned stained glass windows and manuscripts to illustrate the continuity of a sacred lineage. Here, it becomes a metaphor for family transmission, the bond between generations, and the importance of memory.

This jewel is an ode to lineage, to the love that connects parents, children, and grandchildren, and to the time that weaves the roots of every family story.
