The druidess’s band, Celtic moon ring in silver and brass

The druidess’s band is a bespoke creation, imagined for a client who wished to unite in a single piece of jewellery the soul of nature and the sacred cycle of the moon.

To fulfill this vision, we naturally turned to the Celtic world, where the role of druids and druidesses is deeply rooted in an intimate relationship with all living things. These figures of wisdom embodied a direct connection with the forces of nature, the rhythms of the world, and the knowledge passed down through plants, stars, and the elements. In collaboration with our client, we designed a ring that a druidess might have worn during her rituals and meditations.

The band is engraved with an interlacing pattern of Celtic knots — essential symbols of this tradition. These endless motifs recall climbing vines or ivy, ever-growing, coiling, adapting, and embracing their surroundings. They speak of growth, quiet strength, interconnection, but also of continuity, eternal return, and cosmic balance. Celtic knots embody the hidden order of life — the organic regularity that druids could read in the leaves and the stars.

On one section of the ring, the metal narrows subtly, creating a visual and symbolic contrast. At this point, a golden brass crescent moon is delicately soldered to the surface. Its warm hue lights up the ring and lends it a magical aura. In Celtic tradition, the moon holds a central role: it governs sowing, rituals, and seasonal festivals such as Imbolc, Beltane, or Samhain. It is associated with femininity, intuition, transformation, and the eternal dance between light and shadow.

This ring unites lunar cycles with those of the Earth. It is an ode to the balance between visible and invisible forces — a bridge between the tangible world and the symbolic realm. A meaningful jewel, both spiritual and timeless, deeply rooted in an ancient tradition.

Metal: sterling silver (925) and brass.

Finish: Matte and polished.
