Home is wherever I’m with you, bear necklace in silver

This long silver necklace features a round pendant depicting a bear carrying its forest-home on its back, taking it wherever it goes. It is a personal interpretation of an inspiring quote engraved on the back of the pendant:

"Home is wherever I'm with you"

The quote "Home is wherever I'm with you" comes from the song Home by the American folk duo Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, released in 2009 on their album Up from Below. Popularized by its duet chorus, it has been featured in films, advertisements, and social media to express a universal truth: “home” is not a fixed place, but the presence of those we love.

Even far from what we call our home, we can always carry it with us. Memories, emotions, laughter, and hugs travel more easily than objects and can warm us even in exile.

I have traveled extensively. At first, I didn’t worry about leaving my family; I was young and eager to discover the world. My mother, quietly, hid her worry. Many years later, she confided that her heart broke every time I left, each time the train took me away from her. Today, as a mother living on the other side of the planet, I feel that same nostalgia. My heart sighs thinking of my mother, of the invisible bond linking three generations, and her desire to see her granddaughter grow. This feeling never leaves me… Perhaps one day, our paths will bring us together again.

The circular pendant is adorned with the silhouette of a bear, set within a vegetal circle evoking the Earth, the cycle of life, and the protective cocoon where one feels safe. The bear, guardian of the forests, carries small trees on its back, symbolizing its home, its roots, and the nature that accompanies it wherever it goes. On the reverse, the quote is engraved, separated by an arrow, as a sign of direction: the path our life takes toward the places and people that call us, where our true home always lies.
