Invisible to the eye, Little Prince quote necklace in silver and labradorite

Invisible to the eye is a necklace inspired by the famous quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince: “One sees clearly only with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye.”

The pendant features an elongated drop-shaped labradorite cabochon, an enigmatic stone that perfectly embodies the meaning of this timeless phrase. Its shifting glow reveals, to those who take the time to look closely, a hidden universe: a stormy sky streaked with blue flashes, a deep ocean where turquoise reflections dance, or a fragment of a galaxy dotted with shadows and light. The colors range from pale blue to deep midnight blue, threaded with black and gray lines, like mysterious paths waiting to be discovered.

The natural veins of the stone, sometimes smooth and sometimes slightly textured, remind us that beauty is never uniform: it is found in its reliefs, imperfections, and rough edges—just as life’s experiences shape us.

The cabochon is set on a slightly larger plate of the same shape, creating a subtle border whose finely scalloped edge evokes the diffusion of light. On this border, three small silver discs represent celestial bodies: distant stars, forgotten moons, or silent planets orbiting this little mineral world. The silver has been oxidized to give it the depth of the night sky and to highlight the mystical glow of the stone.

On the back of the pendant, the quote is engraved, ending with a small star—a nod to the universe of The Little Prince and a gentle reminder that what matters most is often where one does not look.
