Hijau, tropical vegetation ring in silver and aventurine

The Hijau ring is a custom creation designed around an oval aventurine with a nuanced light green hue, offering a subtle palette of tones that bring depth and vitality to the piece.

This cabochon evokes the lush, tropical vegetation of Indonesia, a country discovered during a memorable journey. After the rains, especially during the monsoon season, nature in this region is adorned with countless shades of green, symbolizing abundance and the richness of the land. This ring pays tribute to these vibrant landscapes where nature flourishes in all its splendor.

The aventurine is set on a carefully cut silver plate that follows the shape of the stone, except on one of the longer sides, where it extends into an elegant foliage motif. To enhance the sense of luxuriance, a second layer of leaves has been soldered onto the first, adding depth and volume to the design. On either side of this layered composition, a small silver hemisphere has been added, while three silver beads adorn the leaves, evoking the generous, sweet fruits that tropical nature offers in abundance.

The back of the plate features an openwork circle, allowing a glimpse of the stone from a new angle. It also bears a discreetly engraved disc with the initials of the workshop, adding a subtle signature to the piece.

The band is crafted from finely twisted silver wire, reminiscent of the vines that coil around trees in the tropical forest. This detail reinforces the connection between the ring and the botanical world that inspired it.

For this piece, we chose the name Hijau, which means "green" in Indonesian—a nod to the ever-present, flourishing nature that inspired its creation.

Size: 49/50 (French size).
