Autumn equinox, moon leaf ring in silver and lapis lazuli

Autumn Equinox is a ring inspired by that perfect moment of balance between light and darkness, where the sun and the moon share the sky equally for twenty-four hours. The word “equinox” itself comes from the Latin æquinoctium, composed of æquus (equal) and nox, noctis (night) — a night of celestial harmony.

This special night is embodied by an oval cabochon of lapis lazuli, whose deep blue evokes the purest autumn skies. Tiny golden inclusions, like stardust, shimmer across its surface, resembling a secret firmament held within the stone. It rests on a silver base slightly wider than the stone itself, allowing its light to fully shine.

Two small silver spheres positioned diametrically add to the composition the feeling of an expanding cosmos: like two silent stars watching over the moon’s passage. On each side of the setting, finely hand-cut oak leaves unfold with patience and precision. Their symbolism is powerful: the oak is the sacred tree of the druids, a living link between Earth and Sky, an emblem of wisdom and strength.

Nestled between these leaves are two crescent moons, recalling how on this equinox night, lunar clarity meets solar power in a dance of equals. The entire ring thus becomes a symbol of transition, passage, and recentring: accompanying the fragile moment when one leaves the abundance of summer to gently enter autumn’s fertile retreat.

One can imagine, beneath this dense and starry blue sky, druids and druidesses gathered around the sacred oak, silently celebrating the seasonal threshold with rituals. This ring holds a fragment of that magic — both celestial and earthly, luminous and nocturnal.
