Calliope, Greek poetry ring in silver and ocean jasper

The Calliope ring evokes a mythical fruit, a gem plucked from a garden of legends. It is built around a perfectly round ocean jasper cabochon, whose concentric circles — brown, green, and white — recall the rings of an ancient fruit or the ripples from a drop falling into still water. This hypnotic stone seems to contain a miniature landscape, a spiraling story, a mineral poem.

The minimalist setting enhances the stone without confining it, simply adorned on one side with two small silver leaves, reminiscent of those still clinging to the stem of a ripened fruit. On the opposite side, two small polished silver spheres suggest unripe fruit, still green, still secret.

The whole design rests on a slender hammered silver band, whose textured surface catches the light with every movement, as if this marvelous fruit were absorbing the sun in order to reach its full maturity. That captured light becomes poetic substance, symbolizing transformation, patience, and the slow awakening of inspiration.
