The Aquatic Ballet pendant, a custom creation, was designed for a sea enthusiast captivated by vast horizons, paradisiacal islands, and aquatic wildlife.

For years, she dreamed of a piece of jewelry highlighting a larimar, a unique and mesmerizing stone native to the Dominican Republic. With its light blue hues and delicate white inclusions, larimar beautifully evokes the crystalline waters of the Caribbean. This rare gem is often surrounded by mystery and legend. Some believe it to be imbued with spiritual energy, thought to be linked to Atlantis, the mythical civilization symbolizing wisdom and advanced knowledge.

For this pendant, she selected a stunning oval-shaped larimar, placed at the heart of the design. This centerpiece is accentuated by two iconic figures of marine fauna: a dolphin and a whale, arranged in a circle around it. These animals are stylized in a Maori tattoo-inspired design, honoring the artistic and spiritual traditions of Polynesia.

• The whale, majestic and commanding, holds a deep place in Polynesian mythology, symbolizing wisdom. Despite its immense power, it is a peaceful creature, humbly feeding on tiny crustaceans called krill. As a symbol of calm and balance, it inspires respect and serenity.
• The dolphin, on the other hand, is revered for its benevolence and protection. In Polynesian legends, it is seen as the guardian of fishermen and sailors, guiding and safeguarding them from oceanic dangers. Its presence is a sign of good fortune and harmony.

Together, the two animals orbiting the larimar create the impression of a graceful dance, evoking the fluid and mesmerizing movement of ocean waves. This symbolic interaction between the dolphin, the whale, and the stone lends the pendant its name: Aquatic Ballet.

The composition is set against a softly rounded silver backing, reminiscent of gentle waves and the soothing calm of the sea. With its harmonious design and meticulous craftsmanship, this pendant is both a tribute to the ocean and a deeply personalized, one-of-a-kind piece.
