The "In the heart of the ocean" pendant is a unique piece, crafted around a majestic ocean jasper that evokes the essence of water and its primordial mysteries.

This ocean jasper, round or slightly irregular in shape, features a translucent white background adorned with orbs in warm shades of red, orange, brown, and ochre. These natural patterns are scattered across the stone’s surface, sometimes isolated and sometimes clustered like a chain of volcanic islands on an ancient map. Each circle resembles geographical contours, akin to relief lines outlining an untouched landscape brimming with potential.

Beyond its mesmerizing appearance, this ocean jasper symbolizes primordial waters—the origin of life as described in many mythologies. These enigmatic and profound waters, from which islands or lands emerge, represent creation and renewal. For instance, in Egyptian mythology, the sun god Atum rises from the primordial waters (the Nun) to create the world. Similarly, in Hindu traditions, lotus flowers floating on these waters give birth to major deities like Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.

To honor and enhance this symbolism, the stone is set in finely crafted sterling silver. The prongs securing it are shaped like lotus leaves, appearing to protect the stone as if it were a precious offering. The back of the pendant features a delicately cut-out lotus motif, a universal symbol of purity and rebirth.

The lotus, which blooms in murky waters while remaining pristine, resonates deeply in this design. It symbolizes life’s ability to thrive under the most challenging circumstances, embodying spirituality and transcendence. In both Buddhism and Hinduism, the lotus serves as the seat of gods and sages, while in Egyptian mythology, it represents the form taken by Atum during creation.

This pendant is a tribute to life, creation, and the balance. The cut-out lotus design on the back allows light to pass through the stone, highlighting its beauty and unique hues, like a reflection of the primordial waters from which all life arose.
