After dusk, nocturnal leaf earrings in silver and kyanite

“After Dusk” is a pair of dreamlike hoop earrings, delicately openworked with tiny leaves and adorned with deep blue cabochons of disthene (also known as cyanite or kyanite).
They evoke the elusive glow of the in-between — that suspended moment when day slowly yields to night, and the vegetation melts into bluish hues ranging from cobalt to midnight blue.

Their circular shape is highlighted at the center by a delicate crescent moon, from which hangs a round kyanite cabochon, deep blue like a fragment of twilight sky captured in silver. From this central stone sprout two branches with openwork leaves, sculpted directly into the metal, extending lightly over the crescent’s curves like twigs bathed in fading blue light.

Inside the space formed by the crescent, a small silver circle suggests a sun in retreat, about to vanish beneath the horizon. It is held in place by a constellation of tiny silver spheres fused to the arc of the moon — like stars or cosmic dust veiling its waning light.

This jewel is an ode to the fragile instant when light becomes dream, when outlines fade to make room for imagination.
