Appeasement, the virtues of blue pendant in silver and labradorite

Contemplating a blue expanse — whether it’s a patch of clear sky or the gentle undulations of the sea — brings an immediate sense of calm. It’s a sensory pause where time seems suspended, where thoughts fade away, leaving only a feeling of deep peace. That same serenity radiates from this pendant, evocatively named Apaisement (Soothing).

At the heart of this creation lies an oval labradorite, hypnotic in its iridescent blue and green hues — at times celestial, at times oceanic. It captures light like a shifting sky or a moving sea, reminding us that beauty often arises from impermanence.

To showcase this gemstone, we chose a minimalist design: the labradorite is set at the center of a composition of brushed silver plates, similar in shape but gradually decreasing in size. This subtle tiered effect creates a sense of visual rhythm, enhancing the stone while evoking a fluid, harmonious movement — like a ripple across water.

The back of the pendant is delicately pierced to let light filter through, revealing the full play of the stone’s changing reflections, which shift with every angle, like a living landscape.

Only the bail contrasts with the piece’s simplicity: it is finely engraved with baroque motifs of ethnic inspiration, adding a bohemian and spiritual touch to the whole.

The labradorite displays a palette ranging from deep midnight blue to soft sky blue, interspersed with hints of seafoam green and delicate black veining — like a sky shifting from clear to cloudy, or the moods of a tropical sea. Each piece is unique, every reflection tells a story.
